Fabrication Supervisor Location: Selkirk, NY Base Pay: $35,000 - $45,000/ Year Full time position Description: We are looking for a talented individual for the position of fabrication supervisor that will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of activities of workers engaged in fabricating custom waste systems, pump stations, chemical feed systems and plastic fabricated components.The fabrication supervisor will directly supervise 3-5 employees while directly working with on projects at hand. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.Other duties may be assigned. ·Supervise and coordinate employees (while working with) engaged in plastic fabrication, plastic welding, pipe fitting, and system component installation. ·Insure quality standards are being carried out, maintained, and improved. ·Knowledge of blueprint reading to plan and organize work in most efficient and cost effective way. ·Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assigns duties to meet production schedules. ·Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. ·Maintain inventory of fabrication and shop supplies. Requirements: ·Basic knowledge of carpentry tools such as power saws, routers, drills, and hand tools. ·Ability to work quickly while doing your job safely. ·Ability to calculate bill of material and cut lists from prints. ·Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as area, circumference, and volume. ·Minimum of 10 years supervising experience (preferable in a fabrication shop) ·Clean drivers license ·Clean drug screen ·Ability to travel throughout New York and New England for field installation if necessary.
